JOB PURPOSE

Design and develop BI tools and MIS dashboards to support performance reporting. Provide data for periodic Integrated Work Program reports and collaborate with business units on tracking Strategic KPIs through OKRs. Contribute to Corporate Performance Management frameworks and engage in benchmarking with MDBs. Analyze performance data against Strategy 2023–2025 KPIs and prepare reports for senior management and BED. Monitor alignment of KPIs and CRIs with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Corporate Performance Management Framework, Policies and Guidelines

 

  • Implementation of the Corporate Performance Management Framework, guidelines, policies, procedures and methodologies and ensuring that guidelines and policies are appropriately adopted by all business units in IsDB and are periodically reviewed and updated accordingly with an alignment with the IsDB’s Strategy.
  • Designing and rolling out training modules, for the Business Units, in the areas of Corporate Performance Management applications, core IT applications, MS Power BI and Jira/OKR application.

 

Business Intelligence and Reporting

 

  • Design and develop Business Intelligence (BI) reports, based on the needs of the wider stakeholders. by coordinating with the Information Management and Disruptive Technologies (IMDT) department on the design and deployment of the data warehouse and related IT infrastructure.
  • Develop and deploy BI dashboards for the use of management and users and enhancing visibility, transparency, and ease of access of performance monitoring.
  • To provide expert advice in the development and deployment of tools and mechanisms to monitor the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for effective monitoring and reporting.
  • Lead the technical activities related to the enhancements of OKR, Power BI and other performance management tools by acting as a super-user for all the technical aspects, training, mentoring, and guiding the key business users across the Bank.
  • Responsible for implementation of the department’s activities in identifying solutions for automation processes of performance management initiatives and effective data management for enhancing the performance in the Administrative and Operational Work Programs and attainment of strategic KPIs.

 

Portfolio and Results Reporting

 

  • Initiate and build periodic analytical reports of the operations portfolio with a view to improving the implementation of performance and highlighting trends for remedial actions and recommendations.
  • Adopt best practices in Operations performance reporting based on experience of International Development Financing Institutions, MDBs and relevant best practices.
  • Disseminate knowledge related to IWP’s Operations section and key portfolio trends throughout the Bank by means of regular reports, analysis and online dashboards.
  • Report on the CRIs and alignment with the SDGs.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Monitoring and Reporting

 

  • Measure actual performance against pre-defined plans and targets in relations to quantitative and qualitative aspects of performance on Integrated Work Program (IWP)and periodic reporting on the strategic Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Act as a super user, provide sound technical advice for OKR application, and Business Intelligence Dashboards on a pro-active basis, and be the owner of technical aspects of CPM Tools.
  • Design and measure desired business goals across functions and assess performance of departments and lines of business using Corporate Performance Management tools and applications.
  • Build and maintain business relations and initiate communications with all related stakeholders on all matters relating to Corporate Performance Management and reporting on Integrated Work Program performance.
  • Monitor budget implementation in collaboration with all the organizational units and prepare as well as present comprehensive mid-term Corporate Performance Reports.
  • Ensure the provision of on-line and real time access in the form of dashboards and Business Intelligence reports to all organizational units to facilitate and strengthen management of their Integrated Work Programs performance.
  • Prepare and maintain status reports and presentations for the management to facilitate departmental performance assessment, highlighting risks faced by under-performance and recommend corrective measures.

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, Sciences, or any related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Corporate Performance Management, preferably in a multi-lateral sector.
  • Working knowledge of CPM tools and applications
  • Languages: English: Mandatory l Arabic: Preferred l French: Preferred

SKILLS & NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE

  • Ability to conceptualize, Design, Implement and report corporate performance using KPIs/ other acceptable performance indicators.
  • Strong working knowledge of planning and business performance management.
  • Good working knowledge of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and the ability to report corporate performance using KPIs.
  • Awareness of current industry best practices, procedures, tools and methodologies used in monitoring and reporting corporate performance
  • knowledge of principles of Financial Analysis
  • Working knowledge of Business Intelligence applications Advanced
