JOB PURPOSE
The Assistant Communications is responsible for providing proficient and efficient support for ICIEC’s communications activities. This role assists in the implementation of internal and external communication strategies aimed at effectively disseminating ICIEC’s accomplishments and initiatives. The position contributes to enhancing ICIEC’s image as a leader in the Export Credit Insurance industry across member countries and globally.
Key duties include supporting the dissemination of official ICIEC publications and ensuring timely, accurate, and impactful communication across various channels. The incumbent performs responsibilities under the guidance of the Communications Specialist or other senior staff responsible for communications, as applicable.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
External Relations
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring initiatives aimed at enhancing ICIEC’s corporate image.
- Support the execution of external communication strategies, ensuring timely and effective dissemination of information.
- Ensure that all communication materials comply with ICIEC’s branding and visual identity guidelines.
- Coordinate with relevant internal stakeholders and external partners to facilitate smooth implementation of communication initiatives.
Internal communications
- Support the execution of effective internal communication strategies to keep staff informed and engaged.
- Facilitate improved internal communications and knowledge sharing across ICIEC departments.
- Coordinate with the IsDB Communication Department to ensure ICIEC activities are effectively promoted within the wider IsDB Group.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Communications Procedures and Guidelines
- Assist in the preparation and implementation of ICIEC’s overall communications business plans.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports on ICIEC-related media coverage, highlighting key insights and trends.
- Identify and recommend potential media partners to enhance ICIEC’s visibility and outreach.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive list of international magazines, directories, and relevant industry publications.
- Assist in the preparation, review, and dissemination of communication and marketing materials, ensuring alignment with ICIEC’s branding.
- Support the management, content updates, and regular monitoring of ICIEC’s website.
- Manage and monitor ICIEC’s social media accounts to ensure consistent messaging and engagement.
- Compile and maintain a list of international forums, conferences, and events relevant to ICIEC’s industry and member countries.
- Coordinate ICIEC’s participation in exhibitions, forums, and similar events, including logistical and communication support.
ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Field of Study: Business Management/Communications (e.g.: journalism, Public Relations)/Marketing
No. of Years of Professional Experience: 1 Year for Bachelor Degree Holder
Nature of Experience: Excellent knowledge and experience the broader field of external communication (e.g. Journalism, PR, Marketing). Sound understanding of socio-economic development, especially poverty reduction and sustainable growth
Business Language Skills: Very good command of written and spoken English and Arabic essential. Additional languages such as French is an added advantage.
